Nordic clothing NFC CARD enterprises MoN recently deployed in 13 stores RFID technology to better manage inventory. For a period of six months two pilot projects to enhance the store stores sales (not just labeling products). The first 14 stores later this year, will also be deploying this technology.
The RFID pilot system includes men's shirts and suits attached labels and convenience stores reader installed on the floor. The system provides 98% -99% of the inventory accuracy, but also reduces the time spent on manual inventory time. MoN supply chain manager Hans Petter Hübert that this result encouraged the company's management, and now the company wants to use the system to be extended to other areas. The company is testing a store electronic anti-theft system (export install fixed readers) and plans to install fixed readers in the warehouse.
Hübert said he heard an early application of RFID technology in the retail inventory management. GS1 General Assembly held in Oslo last year on, he and the Dutch company Nedap conducted a conversation a related area. He said, MoN using RFID is a natural thing, companies need to quickly add items and to ensure the accuracy of the store inventory. If replenishment is not timely, the customer can not see the items they need, thereby causing revenue to decline. contactless cards
The company also hopes to provide customers with online store delivery service. Currently, MoN online buyers can not pick up from a nearby store, partly because the company has not yet to find a solution to ensure adequate inventory. The company believes the current inventory accuracy is only 75% -80%, so the company can not guarantee stock when the customer needs. Hübert said that the current industry average inventory accuracy is below 70%, he believes MoN has done better than most companies.
January of this year, MoN begin testing Nedap offers solutions, which includes a hand-held reader, an iPod Touch and a fitted storage Nedap software in the cloud data analysis software. Nedap's Norwegian partner Infratek responsible for installing the system.
MoN chose two stores in Oslo and Stirling as a pilot store. The company marked the two types of goods: boys shirts and suits. Attached to the label inside the clothes, the reader information on these labels on the store floor will capture.combo cards
